Professional Supplements Selected for Your Individual Needs

The supplements available through my clinic are professional practitioner products selected according to individual needs. Where appropriate, supplements may form part of a broader naturopathic approach that also considers nutrition, lifestyle, health history and your individual goals. If you are unsure which product is appropriate for you, please contact me before ordering.

Why I Use Practitioner-Quality Supplements

As a Naturopath, my aim is to recommend supplements only when they are appropriate to your individual needs. Product quality, formulation, dosage and suitability can vary considerably, which is why I prefer to work with professional brands that I know and trust.

Supplements are not intended to replace a balanced diet or appropriate healthcare. They may be used alongside nutrition and lifestyle strategies as part of an individualised approach to health and wellbeing.

The professional ranges I use may include brands such as Metagenics, BioCeuticals and Orthoplex. Recommendations are based on the individual rather than simply choosing a product for a particular symptom.

How to Choose the Best Supplement for Your Health?

When choosing a quality supplement, don’t fall for marketing and advertising. Just because a particular brand of supplement is promoted by a well-known sportsperson or TV personality does not mean that it is of high quality or contains effective levels of ingredients. There are a vast number of factors that contribute to a product’s effectiveness such as:

  • The quality and source of the raw materials

  • The quality and care that goes into the manufacturing process,

  • The synergy of the formulation (will the ingredients work together and enhance the total effect),

  • Are the important ingredients at a therapeutic level (quantity) to provide a health outcome?

  • Are the nutritional ingredients in a form that is most easily absorbed?

  • Is this product safe for me to take?

Quality Matters When Choosing Supplements

Not all supplements are the same. The quality of ingredients, formulation, dosage and manufacturing standards can vary considerably between products.

When I recommend a nutritional or herbal supplement, I consider the individual’s needs, health history, diet, lifestyle and any other relevant factors. Where appropriate, I prefer professional practitioner products from established brands whose formulations I am familiar with.

Supplements are only one part of the picture. Good nutrition, lifestyle, exercise, sleep and appropriate healthcare all play important roles in maintaining health and wellbeing. My aim is to use supplements selectively when they are appropriate, rather than simply recommending more products.
